SPR# JLAR5CQQLE - Fixed a problem where users were unable to download attachments that included the directory path in the name.

Problem:
This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# JLAR5CQQLE. There
are no plans to investigate this issue, as it would cause other issues if
changed.
Workarounds:
Open the message in a Notes Client and detach the attachment. Notice that the
colon and backslashes are automatically removed from the attachment name.
Resend the attachment with a name that does not contain a directory path.
Open the mail file via Webmail and download the attachment.
Using Domino 6.5 or 7.0 and accessing DWA on Windows XP, you should be able to
click the Save icon, delete the path leaving only the file name, and then
successfully save the attachment.
Example: For a path and file name such as
C:\win32app\mox\requestProc\c922-56d44d86-ae35.tif , remove
C:\win32app\mox\requestProc\ before saving the file.
Using Domino 7.0 and accessing DWA on Windows 2000, the workaround is to
forward the message to yourself; this will strip the directory path and only
leave the file name, allowing you to successfully download the attachment.
Supporting Information:
An example attachment name that would cause this issue:
C:\Winnt\temp\test.txt. If the attachment is detached from the Notes Client
it is saved as: CWinnttemptest.txt
How You Can Switch from Using iNotes Web Access to WebMail
There is a user interface parameter setting (&ui=argument) is available to
easily switch between WebMail and the iNotes Web Access. The first example
shows how to open a user's mail with the IWA user interface; the second example
shows how to switch to a WebMail user interface:

When a user switches to a either iNotes Web Access (ui=inotes) or WebMail
(ui=webmail), that state is remembered on the server. If server is set up for
basic authentication it affects all future URLs to this database from the same
client machine or any client machine.
